Webdock is highly ambitious in its goals, striving to maintain the goal set back in 2017, to provide cheap, production-ready, and highly efficient, and automated hosting. As of right now, they are only focused on providing cloud VPS and nothing else. The company takes great pride in its numerous functions and service, although, one can notice that their site is text-heavy and requires a lot of scrolling and reading in to get a grasp of all the things the company provides. The company keeps exhaustive and compelling documentation concerning just about every aspect of the service or the company. And all of that is transparent, so if you have some free time, you’d get a good read on how exactly your server is configured, howtos on different issues, tutorials, etc.

The support department can be reached over by email, live chat, or a feedback form, but if you want to call them, you’d have to do it between a short window of 10 AM to 2 PM CET. Response time can vary a lot, starting from just a few minutes to a whole day, depending on the question, with critical issues taking all priority.

Take notice that some of the departments could not be online at any given time, so you’d have to wait before they got back online.

I’ve managed to catch the window of time where the tech department was online and asked them a few questions. The first reply was quick, only taking 5 seconds, and overall it took just 4 minutes to deal with my questions.

As proudly stated on their website, Webdock data centers are environmental-friendly, using only renewable sources of energy.

As a heavily user-oriented company, webdock takes great care to sustain a peak level of security and stability. To do this they use a variety of software and hardware measures. At first, they decided to turn their attention away from tenant density, meaning fewer users on the server at the same time, instead, they give more resources to fewer clients, increasing overall performance. And after all that, there’s more. You get 24/7 server monitoring, LAMP and LEMP troubleshooting, DDoS attack protection with support for GDPR DPA.

As mentioned above, their site is not designed best, overfilled with text, and the main page is the same page as billing. But should you find the strength to read all of the information, you’d find that Webdock is very simple at its core and offers some nice features. The main one is free and a lot of backups daily, weekly, and custom ones, and the nice part is those backups last up to 2 days, while weekly can last up to 3 weeks in total. Remember the custom backups? You can make up to 3 personal backups, store them indefinitely, and can be made at any time. Backups are running on RAID technology on remote servers so nothing could possibly go wrong with them.
Unfortunately, there is no server transfer service, so you’d have to do it yourself, using the knowledge base, or poking tech support

• As a cloud-service-oriented company, all of the benefits revolve around cloud technology, such as Instant scalability and reboots, LXD support;
• Their own Webdock control panel is developed to make the life of cloud users much easier, inspired by cPanel and Linode panels and combining their features. Although it’s not a necessity, you can as easily install other control panels of your choosing;
• Additionally, you get a free SSL certificate along with email services from PostMark;
• Webdock only uses Unix-based OS in their server.

Being one of their priorities, their price can be considered low and below market average. You can get a cloud VPS for as little as 1$.
A free trial period is provided, but it’s just 24 hours, which can be considered extremely short.
