Aside from that, the team behind hosting has developed three unique pieces of software: SShield security, SWordPress manager, and Spanel control panel. A knowledge base is available on the site, sporting over 200 helpful articles on various topics.

As stated under the “contact us” section, the support department works around the clock 24/7 and you can contact them by email, live chat, or by opening a ticket. The response time is promised to be 15 seconds for a live chat to 15 minutes for tickets. As usual, I’ve decided to test that out with a list of different questions, and overall it took 30 minutes to resolve them all.
Support is tiered, so higher plans users are getting priority support.

As mentioned in the overview section, ScalaHosting has its own security software, powered by AI, called SShield. That blocks 99.998% of attacks on your website. The company provides free daily and weekly, backups/snapshots that are stored on remote servers. All of the ScalaHosting servers are powered by cloud technology and SSDs. Should you decide on moving your website to ScalaHosting servers, this process will be completely handled by a specialist.

User Friendly

WordPress is supported and heavily optimized by SWordPress manager, developed by the company. Softaculous is integrated for easy installation of supported CMS platforms, scripts, and plugins.
SPanel is a company’s alternative to cPanel, being an all-in-one solution for VPS hosting that supports Apache, LiteSpeed with no limit on hosted websites and databases.
At the time of writing, only US locations were available.

The prices are market average, but considering all of the features that ScalaHosting provides it’s hard not to notice that you’ll be saving minimally half a price. You can start off your shared server for as low as 3.95$ for the first month, but the price would be doubled at renewal, so take that into account. Strangely enough, unmanaged hosting comes almost double the price of usual. Most of the plans The refund period is active for 30 days after purchase and is only viable in case of failed uptime.
