Dedistart offers mainly dedicated server solutions but has separate VPS plans, provided by a subsidiary company VPSAG. Due to being centered around providing just one type of service, DediStart site is extremely compact and small, with just about anything laid out in front of the main page. The servers are fully customizable and you can choose almost anything. The company doesn’t have its own knowledge base, instead, there is a FAQ section.

As stated on the website, DediStart’s support department is online 24/7/365. The only way to reach support is to open a ticket, and the promised response time is 20 minutes. To test this out I’ve sent a ticket with hosting related questions, and the response was delivered to me in 13 minutes, asking for some clarification, and overall it took an hour to deal with my questions.

There’s no information listed about the data center official TIER rating.

DediStart offers almost all available RAID configurations to choose from when configuring your server. Backups are not provided by the company, so you’d have to do them yourself. DediStart includes powerful DDoS protection in every plan, capable of handling attacks up to 500Gbps. Additionally, most of the plans use the KVM console.

The company promises 100% uptime and server availability.

All of the plans are highly customizable, you can choose your drives, ram, RAID configuration, OS, Control panel, VPS, and bandwidth.

The servers support the hosting of games and VOIP services. All of the plans come unmanaged, and the company doesn’t provide management service.

DediStart only has an affiliate program, so users under them can profit from promoting or advertising company’s services elsewhere on the web.

• Lease to own is a unique proposition where you pay a higher monthly payment for a prolonged period of time, after which the ownership rights will be transferred to you, and you can continue using service as collocation or the company will ship the server to you;
• Buy and collocate is pretty much the same, but instead, you pay the full price right away, and you’ll immediately be its owner;
• Great choice of OS;
• No free SSL certificate is included;
• No free control panel is provided;
• Very few features for the user.

As a company that presents itself as an alternative and cheap provider of dedicated servers, the prices only confirm this claim, with the cheapest server you can get costing 29€ a month. Although there is a discount if you choose to pay for longer plans, it’s not that much of a deal.

The refunds are only eligible for 3 days after purchase.
