Knownhost offers a variety of features and hosting solutions for just about any case. This includes widely popular solutions like Shared, VPS, Dedicated, but also some very specific solutions of educational, image gallery, RSS hostings, and so on.

Most of their service comes with some degree of management, for example, Shared hosting and WordPress hosting are always managed, while in VPS and Cloud hostings you can choose if you want your server managed.

The company provides free backups, free managed migration with 99.99% uptime.

The website states that tech support is online and available 24/7/365, and can be reached over by phone, a live chat, or by opening a ticket. But, I wanted to test out the response time through a live chat, I’ve got a message that there’s no online specialist at the moment, so maybe they meant the phone support is available at all times.

There is a Knowledge base on the site as well as forums and wiki, so you could look for more information either written by specialists or by fellow users.

The support department also takes the task of transferring your server along with managing it(Should you purchase that service)

For a company with such a catchy name and a promise of 99.99% there’s bound to be some superb security and stability measures, and there is a lot. Starting from top-grade hardware to included DDoS protection with imunify360 and daily backups. KnownHost uses cloud-based storage in every plan and provides a free SSL certificate from Comodo. CloudLinux is used to isolate accounts, so there are no problems with resource overuse. LiteSpeed is paired with LScache to boost performance. Ultimately each hosting solution comes with a unique set of features, from HTTP 2 for shared solutions, KVM for cloud,  etc.

DirectAdmin comes as a free included control panel, but you can still buy cPanel if that’s your jam, Softaculous comes with it, while it is also available for free in web hosting plans. Scalability issues are not a problem for KnownHost, as you can down or upgrade your server without a second of downtime. 

KnownHost is offering white-labeled server options, suited for businesses who don’t want mentions of hosting.

ROOT access is provided for even greater customization if you know what you do.

Sadly, NVMe drives are only available as a separate plan and only Unix-based OS are supported.
