Krystal provides all of the popular hosting solutions, so that’s Shared, VPS, and dedicated server hostings. In addition, CMS optimized plans are available and are different depending on the CMS platform in question, like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc. Aside from that, hidden in the footer of the site there are less popular and specific hosting solutions like VOIP, StartUp, and Charity.

A basic shared plan, called amethyst allows you to host 1 website on 10GB of disk space with 1GB RAM and 1CPU core. VPS are instead can be customized to your liking but has a few pre-made templates, K1 has 1CPU core, 1GB RAM, 25GB disk space, and unlimited bandwidth.

The site is modernly designed with everything remaining relatively compact for such a large company. A knowledge base is available on site, having over 100 articles concerning hosting matters.

Under the technology section, you can see interesting support data like ticket resolution, average phone duration times, and the number of calls/tickets resolved in the last week. All of that data is updated daily, so you’re always getting authentic information. You can contact support by opening a ticket, phone, or live chat. Phone support working hours are 9 AM to 8 PM Friday to Monday.

I’ve tried testing out response time, and in my experience, the support was quick, taking under 10 minutes to deal with my questions.

Free, backups are provided by the company and are different for every plan, from every 4 hours to monthly ones. and they are stored for up to 31 days on a different server without impacting your disk space, though I should point out that backups for dedicated servers are paid. The backups are running on JetBackup. As a company that has been on the market for 19 years, it takes great care to provide as much security and stability as possible. For example, real-time scanning for malware/viruses, custom firewall, Hotlink/leech protection, and DDoS protection. In addition to that, Krystal uses LiteSpeed to greatly increase load speeds. From paid features, there are Imunify360/ImunifyAV+ available as addons for you to purchase during configuring your server.

The company promises an uptime of 99.99%.

Both Softaculous and Installatron are provided, allowing for a grand collection of easily installable scripts, apps, addons, etc. Some CMS platforms have separate, heavily optimized plans specifically for them, with WordPress taking the main place. You can freely choose between 5 different Linux-based OS. Additionally, you can purchase a server management service for a whopping 60£ per month, which is one of the highest we’ve ever seen. Free and managed migration is available, should you decide on moving your website to Krystal server, a specially assigned specialist will take that task.

Users are granted Root or SSH access.

The prices set by Krystal are usually in the vicinity of the market average, with some plans costing more than that, and some less. The cheapest plan would be a shared hosting solution called Amethyst, and it costs 4.99£. Instead of the usual discount of yearly plans, there is a set amount of months you get for free. There are no setup or installation fees.

VPS and shared solutions are eligible for a refund during a period of 60 days after purchase.
