Overview
The company provides only two types of hosting solutions: Shared and Semi-Dedicated, basically a variation of VPS. The most basic shared plan will yield you 15GB disk space, 250GB bandwidth, and unlimited domains. For semi-dedicated it's 25GB NVMe storage 1TB bandwidth and unlimited domains. MonsterMegs’ site is although looks nice and dandy, subjectively the design looks kinda old, and could use some work. A knowledge base is available on the site and has around 100 articles concerning different hosting topics.
As stated on the site, the tech support department is online 24/7 and the company claims that the maximum response time is 2 hours, and if you are not answered in these 2 hours you will be issued an account credit.
You can reach support by opening a ticket, email, or by filling out a feedback form. I’ve opened a ticket with some technical questions and a specialist replied back after just half an hour with answers to most of them, leaving the one, the hardest for a later reply.
MonsterMegs data centers are rated TIER III.
The company provides free, daily/weekly backups that are automatically made nightly and are stored for up to 14 days on an off-site location.
MonsterMegs divides its security and performance measures into “Advanced Features” and “Security Shield”. Let’s look at them, Security Shield is a collection of software like Custom Firewall, DDoS protection, Real-Time defense, and powerful antivirus. “Advanced Features” is mostly performance and caching features like LiteSpeed with LScache, CloudFlare with RailGun and much more. Additionally, all company’s servers are running on RAID 10 supported SSD or NVMe drives and use CloudLinux OS.
Uptime is promised to be 99.9%.
The set of features that MonsterMegs provides is virtually the same between shared and semi-dedicated solutions. AWstats and Webalizer are used to display your server/website stats in easy to view and read way, accessible from your panel. The company supports a variety of developer features like Curl, ImageMagic, GD2, and Ruby. If you want to upgrade your server, you can do so without a second of downtime. Although an automatic server migration feature is available, it only works with cPanel websites. As usual, softaculous is provided allowing for an easy one-click installation of supported CMS platforms, addons n plugins with WordPress taking the crown, as it is most supported.
Users are granted SSH access.
One of the big focuses of MonsterMegs is reseller hosting, but the company has an affiliate program as well.

- Free Weebly website builder.
For the most part, the prices stay above the market average, as the company is mostly aimed at professionals and small to medium businesses. The lowest price you can find is 7.95 per month. But you can get the best price by paying on yearly plans, in this case, you’ll save as much as 50% off the price. There are no setup or installation fees.
