Kinsta is an international hosting company that was founded in 2013. The company’s services are not divided into usual categories like shared, VPS, and dedicated, instead, they have a unique system of plans. The data centers are located all over the world in more than 15 locations.
Overview
The services are not divided into the three usual categories of shared, VPS, and dedicated server. Kinsta implemented their own categorization system of plans to make the user experience of choosing a plan more convenient. The solutions are named after a type/organization or the main focus of the website e.x: Enterprise, non-profit, Publisher, and so on. But almost all of them are WordPress-centric. Resource-wise descriptions are scarce, and the clearest information is that the basic plan starts off with 10GB storage and 1 WordPress install.
Their site is modernly designed, but with one major downside, being that pages describing the solutions are overfilled with text and information, making the usual user feel overwhelmed. A knowledge base is available, having over 50 articles, touching different hosting topics and issues.
Support
10.0
As stated on the website, Kinsta’s support department is online 24/7/365, at least the English part of it. Yes, it’s a rare case that support is available not in one, but four different languages. As usual, I’ve decided to test out the response times, and I can say that they were quick, taking only 7 minutes to deal with all of my problems in a short manner.
Reliability
9.0
As a strongly advertised feature is that Kinsta utilizes Google Cloud Platform, Nginx, and LiteSpeed, so your data would be transferred with topmost speed and security. Additionally, Kinsta uses Cloudflare Enterprise for security matters, as it included multiple firewalls and DDoS protection. Free and daily backups are available with the option of manual or hourly ones. The backups are stored for 14 days or up to 30 days, depending on the plan.
The company promises 99.95% or higher uptime.
User Friendly
9.5
KInsta has a large selection of hosting solutions, and an even larger collection of information about them, so it would be almost impossible to describe all the features provided in them, so here’s just little snippets of what’s there. Free migration can be ordered, but it's only for WordPress sites, and even then there are some exceptions to that. Proactive monitoring is maintained at all times, with checks every 2 minutes. Detailed analytics are available from the client area or the control panel. Self-Healing PHP is included that will restart itself should something go wrong.
Features
6.0
- Although there is no separate reselling hosting, almost all of the main solutions provided by Kinsta, especially enterprise ones, can be refurbished into reselling. In addition to that, the company has an affiliate program, so users can profit from advertising Kinsta’s services;
- Custom MyKinsta Control panel that has just about every function you’d need;
- SSL certificate for free;
- Staging area for testing out your website;
Pricing
5.0
Considering all of the features that are included, it’s no wonder that Kinsta’s prices are way above the market average, with 30$ per month starter plan being the cheapest. There are no setup fees. Every plan is refund-eligible for 30 days after purchase so you can carefully choose the best hosting for your project.

Kinsta may be one of the top-10 best choices to host your business website as there are a lot of features, that will surely make your life much easier. But the prices are not something a single person can afford realistically, so it is reserved for larger ventures. As a cherry on top, Kinsta’s servers have one the best load speeds out there.
