AltusHost provides the full package of hosting services meaning: Shared, VPS, and Dedicated server solutions. The data centers are located all over Europe in these countries: Bulgaria, Switzerland, Serbia, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
Overview
Altushost provides all of the popular hosting solutions, so that’s shared, VPS, and Dedicated server hosting, and all of them are aimed at businesses and ventures. So the most basic plan, in this case, is called BIZ 20, which will give you 20GB, 2GB RAM, 2CPU cores, and unlimited bandwidth to host 2 websites. For VPS, it's pretty much the same resource-wise, but you are given 40GB disk space and bandwidth is limited to 4TB
The site is small, nicely designed, and compact. The company has its own knowledge base that touches various hosting issues and topics in over 50 articles.
Support
8.0
As stated on the site, the tech support department is online 24/7 and you can contact them by phone, live chat, or by opening a ticket. In my experience, the support response was quick, but they kept on asking for more clarification, although the questions were relatively easy, overall it took 20 minutes for a support specialist to resolve all of my issues through a live chat.
Reliability
9.0
All of AltusHost’s data centers are rated TIER III.
The company provides daily backups that are stored for 30 days. The servers are running on RAID-supported SSD drives as well as using cloud infrastructure. AltusHost uses a variety of security and performance measures, let’s look at the security ones first. Imunify360 security suite is included in all of the plans as well as DDoS protection.
From the performance side, AltusHost supports LiteSpeed and Memcached with Redis, the exact combination changes between certain plans.
Uptime is promised to be 99.9%.
User Friendly
8.0
WordPress is strongly supported and optimized, being both a separate plan and an included feature. Softaculous is provided, allowing for an easy one-click installation of supported CMS platforms, add-ons, plugins, etc. The hosting supports numerous development features and environments like PHP selection, Node.js, laravel, etc. Free migration is provided, but only for cPanel or Plesk control panels.
A nice benefit is that there is a custom dedicated server request, so if you are not content with the presented variations, you can request a custom-made one specifically for your needs. The company also provides a free website builder, allowing customers to create their website with great ease.
