SkyHost provides all of the popular hosting solutions, so that’s shared, VPS, and dedicated server hosting. All of these services have different variations. In addition, a WordPress-centric plan is available. The basic plan will yield you 1GB disk space, unlimited bandwidth, 1GB RAM, and a limit of 50% on CPU usage. VPS plans are detailed better, with 1 vCPU core, 1GB RAM, 25GB disk space, and 2TB bandwidth.

Their site is compact, although the design could use work, as it looks old and all of the prices are stated in RS. The company has its own knowledge base that touches various hosting issues and topics in over 50 articles.

As stated on the site, the tech support department is online 24/7 and you can contact them by email, phone, live chat, or by opening a ticket. To test out the response times I’ve used live chat, and although the first response was quick, the specialist on the other end seemed unqualified and didn’t understand my questions, ghosting me afterward.

SkyHost’s Datacenter is rated TIER IV.

The servers use modern up-to-date RAID 10 supported SSD drives. Unfortunately, there are little to no performance measures of features listed on the site. Backups are not provided by the company, and you’d have to do them manually yourself.

From the perspective of security, the company includes DDoS protection and custom firewalls.

Uptime is promised to be 99.99%.

As usual, softaculous is provided allowing for an easy one-click installation of supported CMS platforms, addons n plugins.

WordPress is strongly supported and optimized, it comes as a separate plan with the addition of a server management service. Other CMS hostings are available, like Magento and Django. Aside from that, there are Python, ASP.NET, and SQL solutions A free and managed website is available, should you decide on moving to skyhost servers, a team of specialists will take that task.

The prices are generally below the market average, with shared solutions being the cheapest: 1.5$ per month, but there is a catch, shared hosting can only be purchased by yearly plans and that is a rule for every shared solution.SkyHost has a one-time setup fee. Refunds are only available for shared hosting plans and are eligible for 10 days after purchase.
