As would the name suggest, is a company centered around providing Cloud-based solutions. The company is Lithuanian and was founded in 2005.
The company has 3 data centers located in Lithuania, the Netherlands, and the US.
Overview
All of the services provided by BaCloud are, not surprisingly, cloud-based in some way or another. The company offers all of the popular hosting types: Shared, VPS, and dedicated server solutions. The most shared plan, called "personal" will yield you 10GB of disk space, 50GB of bandwidth, 512 RAM, 1 database, 5 email accounts, and the ability of multi-domain hosting. VPS hosting will give you at least 1 vCPU, 2GB RAM, and 20GB storage.
The site is easy to use and designed by modern standards with the client in mind, but there’s not a whole lot of information regarding the server’s specifications. A knowledge base is available on site, although it’s mostly presales questions.
Support
9.5
As stated on the website, Bacloud’s support department is online 24/7/365. You can reach support by email, phone, skype, live chat, or by opening a ticket. Live chat is usually the fastest option, with promised response times being a few minutes. My test has shown that this is true with the first response taking under a minute, and overall 5 minutes to deal with my questions.
Reliability
6.0
There’s no official TIER rating for BaCloud’s data centers. The company provides both daily and weekly backups, additionally, there’s a separate paid backup service. The servers are running on modern NVMe SSD with RAID support. There’s no mention of security precautions, like DDoS protection or antivirus software to protect your website. VPS plans use either KVM or OpenVZ virtualization. Dedicated servers are somewhat stripped of free features, and most of them have to be paid for.
Uptime is promised to be 99.9%.
User Friendly
7.0
Overall, every plan is highly customizable with dedicated being the most customizable out of all plans. All plans are unmanaged initially, but during purchase, you can buy a server management service. VPS solutions are by far the most versatile, as both Linux and Windows OS are available. Domain transfer is available and is done automatically. There’s no mention of website transfer though.
Users are granted Root/SSH access.
Features
7.0
- BaCloud has an affiliate program and a reseller hosting solutions, so users can profit from selling or advertising company’s services elsewhere
- Great choice of OS;
- Unlimited bandwidth for some of the plans;
- Free SSL;
- Infrastructure and Collocation services;
- Dedicated servers are limited to Lithuanian location;
- BaCloud doesn’t provide free control panel, except for Windows VPS solutions.
Pricing
9.0
BaCloud’s prices can be considered below the market average, so the cheapest shared hosting would cost you 1.70$ per month. Take notice that some of the shared solutions are available by yearly or in some cases, 3-months plans. As usual, there is a discount if you decide on paying for yearly plans. There are no setup or installation fees.
Every plan is refund-eligible for 30 days after purchase.
