From a hosting perspective, HostiServer provides only VPS and dedicated server solutions, both of which are managed, but has a separate backup hosting plan.
The most basic VPS plan will give you 2GB RAM, 2CPU cores, 50GB storage, and 3TB bandwidth.

Their site was redesigned multiple times over the years, but today’s design is modern and compact. The company doesn’t have a knowledge base, only the article section, but it has 5 articles at best.

The support can be reached over by email, opening a ticket, phone, or live chat in the working hours of 10:00 to 17:00 GMT+1, Monday to Friday in case of the phone support. In my experience, using live chat even during working hours yields no result as at the time there were no online specialists.

All of HostiServer’s data centers are rated TIER III.

The company provides weekly automatic backups, with 250GB to Unlimited backup space depending on the plan, so you can do backups yourself. Besides, there is a separate paid backup service. Well, aside from backups there are no mentions of performance or security measures that the company takes other than real-time monitoring.

Uptime is not stated anywhere either.

Overall all of the solutions are highly customizable. In addition, you can choose between managed and unmanaged server types, and I should note the fact that both options are free of charge. A free and managed website is available, so a dedicated specialist will transfer your website to HostiServer’s servers without a second of downtime. Aside from that, a support specialist will install literally any CMS onto your server.

Users are granted Root/SSH access.

HostiServer is not a cheap provider, with the cheapest plan costing 19.95$.

Unusually so, the company doesn’t have yearly plans, so customers have to resort to using monthly plans. There are no setup or installation fees.

The refund period for VPS plans is 15-days, while this period for dedicated servers is 7 days.
